Jaime Jacobsen is an Emmy Award-winning filmmaker who is passionate about using film to engage audiences in the pressing issues of our times. Her most recent film, Finding Traction, premiered at the Banff Mountain Film Festival, was featured on Netflix and Amazon Prime, and screened in 26 countries. Her passion for filmmaking has taken her to every continent except Antarctica, where she has led documentary trips for National Geographic Student Expeditions in Australia and Tanzania, produced films for Engineers Without Borders in Kenya, and taught filmmaking at Notre Dame University–Louaize in Lebanon. Jaime has a Masters of Fine Arts in Science and Natural History Filmmaking from Montana State University. She currently teaches as an Assistant Professor in Journalism and Media Communication at Colorado State University. Jaime splits her time between Fort Collins, Colorado, and Bozeman, Montana, where she lives with her husband and two young children.
